We plan to leave around noon so that we will get us to the lake about 5PM. But, you know, best laid plans and all that.... we start out finally about 1:30PM and get about 30 miles up the road when Carolyn asks about the bikes. Well, Dick did not bring them...after a short discussion, he turns around to go back for them. An hour and a half later we leave Brenham for the second time and have an uneventful trip to Oklahoma and the lake.
We get to the lake about 9PM. Our daughter and her three children and our oldest son and his son are there along with our son and his wife and three children whose house we are enjoying. Our son and daughter-in-law will join the group on Tuesday. All total there will be 24 of us including seven grandchildren ages 3 ½ to 11 ½, eight adults, our son's Labrador Retriever and her litter of seven, four-week old puppies plus our grandson's fish.
A summer cool front has cooled things down here, so it is actually nice to be outside.
