Mon, Aug 3: On the Road to Greybull, WY

We are on the road by 9:30AM today. Good for us! Dick searched the web this morning for a place to replace the torn up tire. He can’t find the same tire and there is another one that would do, but no one seems to have it in the towns that are anywhere close to where we are going. At this point he doesn’t want to buy four new tires, but we will see....

Today we drive through Wind River Canyon. It is wild country with a wild river flowing through it. Today is one of the shorter, mileage wise, but it takes a long full day. I guess we are a little tense since we don’t have a spare for the toad.
We get to Greybull about 4:00PM and find the KOA. It had good reports on a Campground Review web site Carolyn found. We are traveling without reservations for most nights, but they have a nice site left so we are fine and the campground is very nice. We visit with a family on the way to the biker rally in South Dakota with a RV that looks like a palace and pulling a big trailer with two beautiful Honda Goldwing Trikes, one silver and one white....his and hers with a 14 year old son who rides with Mama.

Carolyn fixes a quiche and we call it a day.
