We normally rent a house in Galveston for a week and gather down there, but Hurricane Ike, last fall, destroyed the beach front house that was big enough for all of us. We were going to have to use two houses near each other to have enough room and that didn’t appeal to us. After reviewing other options, Robert and his family graciously opened their doors to us.
The grandchildren have a wonderful time together and we enjoy watching them have fun. Fortunately, the break in the terrible heat lasts for most of the week so it is fun to be outside.
